Question: I have the Nexplanon implant and am really scared to get it out. Can you describe the method used to get it out? I saw a “pop out method” and other methods. Please explain.

Answer: The procedure for Nexplanon removal is very similar to when it was inserted. The nurse will first numb the arm, make a small incision, remove a small amount of scar tissue and then extract the devise. Once the arm is numb, the actual procedure takes only a few minutes.
