“I am trying to conceive since 1 1/2 years ago and it seems that luck is not with me. However me and my husband when for fertility check up and both of us are fine. I usually experience stomach discomfort (gastric) during my fertile time. Is it true that if our stomach is too acidic it will actually kills the sperm? Can I take clomid eventhough I’m normal (fertile) ? Can it actually help? Please advise.”
A: A woman’s stomach acid has no contact with a man’s sperm; therefore, it does not kill sperm and should have no impact on one’s ability to become pregant. Since we are not your physician and unable to speak to your medical history, it would be best to speak with your own doctor about taking clomid. He or she would best be able to advise on this matter.
